Why Islander Resort is a Culinary Destination in Islamorada

The Florida Keys are dense with critically-acclaimed restaurants serving up dishes inspired by local traditions and featuring some of the freshest seafood you’ll ever eat. Right here at the Islander Resort, we have two of the most celebrated restaurants in the village of Islamorada with dishes for everyone in the family.

These establishments combine memorable entrees highlighting the best flavors from the surrounding areas, craft cocktails driven by flavor and imagination, and distinct, stylish dining areas to help make Islander Resort its own culinary destination in Islamorada.

Tides Beachside Bar & Grill

The casual setting of Tides Beachside Bar & Grill complements its eclectic menu. For a mid-day lunch in between adventures around the surrounding islands, a sit-down dinner that doesn’t require a button-down or heels, or a cocktail when the mood strikes — Tides’ all-day menus will serve you well.

All-Day Dining

Seven days a week from 10:30 am - 10:00 pm, Tides Beachside Bar & Grill serves an all-day menu with a ton of must-try favorites. Featuring the native mollusk, easily identified by its vibrant spiral shell, you can always begin with a conch chowder, served here with sherry pepper and oyster crackers. For more delights from the sea, the fish-of-the-day ceviche always hits the spot, and the baha fish tacos are also refreshing and satisfying.

Cocktails

With outdoor, poolside seating and the Florida Bay beyond, Tides is a relaxing and beautiful place to sit down for a drink as well. We recommend trying the signature Key Lime Colada, which features KeKe key lime liquor, Pusser’s rum, fresh lime, pineapple, and even graham cracker crumbs. The festive menu also includes a house margarita, mojito, sangria, and several fun originals.

Elements Lounge & Restaurant

Open for breakfast and dinner, Elements Lounge & Restaurant offers a refined sit-down experience that still maintains a relaxed island vibe. Offering pier-to-plate dishes, this is another onsite restaurant elevating local flavors in their own original fashion — one that’s sophisticated and minimalist. You can book a private brunch, dinner, or cocktail party here, and sit down with your family in the breezy Elements Courtyard for a meal.

Breakfast & Dinner Highlights

You can find a simple and delicious breakfast menu at Elements Lounge & Restaurant to start your day. The ‘Traditional Breakfast’ is light and healthy, featuring braised portobello mushrooms, crispy potatoes, bacon or sausage, and two eggs. You can continue your seafood explorations with a blue-crab-filled omelette, or the shrimp and grits with Red Rooster butter.

Later in the day, Elements’ menu really opens up with its Starters & Shareables section, featuring highlights such as the cracked conch & yum yum sauce — fried conch strips with island-inspired spicy sauce — alongside Florida lobster dumplings, and fried burrata in a smoky puttanesca sauce. From there, you can indulge in raw bar favorites like oysters on a half shell and Spanish shrimp cocktail, and classic entrees like a 16oz ribeye, or one of the chef’s daily fresh-fish creations. You can also find sandwiches here, and the snapper bánh mì is not to be slept on.

Adult Beverages & Desserts

To treat yourself to something sweet, try the Key lime pie with Italian meringue, a creamy and tart local classic. Elements Lounge & Restaurant also has its own selection of signature cocktails, some of the most popular including the Islander Fresh Melon Sipper with Botanist gin, St. Germain, watermelon, sage, and lime. For some more unique options, you can also get a coffee-based old-fashioned and a Key lime martini here.
